
Circa 1876, the Morash House at 55 Montague Street was Built by Joseph and Solomon Morash, master carpenters and builders responsible for building many of the towns finest residences. 55 Montague was their own house - described as a bell cast, hipped gambrel roofed structure incorporating a two level Lunenburg bump, built into the hillside in typical Lunenburg fashion and presenting an elaborate,symmetrical facade to Montague Street
